A literal dream come true. For both Jenna and Jake, but also, myself as a photographer. This magical Armour House Lake Forest wedding was filled with the softest romance, gorgeous (and I do mean GORGEOUS) light, stunning backdrops and the most intimate celebration.
It's always a bonus for couples when they opt to have their wedding day all in one location. Why? You get to relax more. There is no travel involved, no jumping from spot to spot and no rushing to get to the next timeline item. You can really savor each moment because it's all happening right then and there. This is exactly the benefit Jake and Jenna had at The Armour House in Lake Forest.
Both the bride and groom got ready on property and were able to simply walk downstairs to see each other before heading around the property for stunning photo opportunities. Not only was their dog present, but Jenna's vintage car made an appearance for some fun photos!
My favorite part of this day involved a moment that I've never seen done in my 14 seasons of photographing weddings. As you can see below, Jenna had a loooooong aisle to walk to meet her groom. To make the walk more impressive, she recorded a voice message to Jake and walked the beginning of her journey to her voice. Jake did not know this was coming, so the reactions were priceless. There was not a single dry eye in the garden.
I'm so stinkin' excited to show this one off!
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. DiVita!
